OUR HISTORY
The Cabarlah Hall was built in 1924 on land belonging to the Farmers Arms Hotel. Under the leadership of David and Lea Rapoport and their shared vision with Mr I N (John) Kahler, longstanding Chairman of the Cabarlah Sports Committee, the committee was able to acquire the hall and adjoining land from the Farmers Arms Hotel in 1978.
The Cabarlah Sports & Festival Committee Inc. was formed in 1984 and acquired land from the neighbouring Bowtell family to complete the Cabarlah Sports Grounds.
OUR FACILITIES
The grounds are situated on approximately 6Ha of land with access from both the New England Hwy and Shostaki Rd. We have a fully fenced arena, basic livestock yards, loading ramps, detached toilet and shower facilities, undercover eating/entertainment areas and the main hall. Parking is available across the grounds.
The main hall is reverse cycle airconditioned and has a maximum capacity of 280 people in rows of seating or table seatin style of 120 people. It has a dedicated bar area with sink and fridges along with a separate kitchen and servery area with 2 electric stoves, 2 sinks, dishwasher, fridges, bain-marie/food warners and crockery/cutlery available on request.
With onsite camping permitted it is an ideal venue for:

In order to hire the grounds/facilities at the Cabarlah Sports Grounds, we ask you to review and agree to our Terms and conditions. The Terms and conditions outline your responsibilities as a venue hirer and include details such as access to the centre, opening and closing times and set-up arrangements.
FAQ
Do I need my own Public Liability? Yes, as a hirer at the Cabarlah Sports Grounds, you must have public liability insurance to protect you in the event of a claim for injury to another person or property damage resulting from your venue hire activities, even if it is an accident. If you are a company, club, association or incorporated body, send us a copy of your Public Liability Certificate of Currency which must show you are covered for at least $10 million.
If you are a community-based organisation (non-commercial group or individual) hiring a room on a casual basis, you will need to consider your own purchase of public liability insurance.
